Fabletics July Review: Boracay Outfit and Giving the Oula Tank a Second Chance

I can’t believe I’m saying this, given my stance not that long ago, but I’m officially a Fabletics convert. I had another credit for a free outfit, and I went with the Boracay, which featured three pieces:

The Haul

  • Ayni Sports Bra in the High Intensity Print
  • Havana Coverup, which I chose in Mint Julep
  • Moro Short in High Intensity Print
I also added a VIP Value Oula tank in purple and a pack of hair ties, since I’m always, always, always losing mine.
First of all, I loved seeing all this color. The High Intensity Print is beautiful, very bright and cheery and motivating.

The Havana

I like the Havana Coverup, but not really as a workout top due to the open back. I bought it fully expecting to wear it as a casual shirt, a beach coverup, or something to throw on over a tank on my way to or from the gym. It does not disappoint. The fabric is a polyester/rayon blend, but you’d think it was cotton because it was so soft. It drapes beautifully in the front, and the open back adds a bit of sexiness and shows off defined lower back muscles. The shoulder detailing is really cute, too, and the mint julep color is pretty much the perfect pastel. In the picture, I’m wearing it with my favorite denim shorts and sporting my summer ‘do (messy updo, headband to keep the frizzles at bay).

Post-workout.

As for the workout clothes themselves, I’m mostly impressed. The Ayni bra lives up to the high standards I’ve set for it: supportive, comfortable, cute. I’m giving the Oula tank a second chance, this time in purple, because a) It was a $9.95 VIP Value and b) It really is very soft. It’s a great moisture-wicking nylon/polyester blend, and the purple is just gorgeous.

The Moro Short was slightly disappointing, though. Don’t get me wrong; the print is beautiful, but it seemed like the print ones are a little smaller than the other pair of Moros I have, which meant they rode up a bit more than I’d like during squats. If you’re thinking of getting them, consider sizing up. Otherwise, they held up really well.

Now here’s the Awesome for you: If you sign up for the VIP membership (and please, as always, read the terms before you sign up for anything), which provides you with monthly selections and allows you to skip purchasing between the first and fifth of every month (please remember to log in and purchase or skip!), you ALSO can choose your first outfit for 50% off!
