I needed a little something to cheer me up after my injury in April, and Fit Snack delivered one in its cute Tiffany-blue box, chock full of healthy snacks. My haul included:
Health Warrior Chia Bar: This bar had 10g of protein from chia, quinoa, and oats. The texture was definitely there – that virtuous texture where you feel like you’re eating something healthy, but your tastebuds try to tell you otherwise.
Wilde Chicken Bar: Meat bars are always a winner with me. And with 10g of protein in a 100-calorie serving, it’s a great snack.
Betty Lou’s Smackers: What would happen if your candy bar was actually packed with protein and had no GMO ingredients whatsoever? And still tasted delicious? That’s what these Smackers are.
Betty Lou’s Nut Butter Balls: After my inner 12-year-old boy stopped giggling, I was pleased to snack on these protein-packed balls. They’re a fancier version of the protein balls I make for myself, and extremely convenient. (And prettier.)
Vintage Italia’s Pasta Chips: I feel a little guilty eating pasta chips. I think Olive Garden’s pasta cakes are an abomination against spaghetti. That said, these Tuscan-inspired chips were really tasty. Sorry, Nonna.
Purely Elizabeth Granola: Natural, organic, and delicious, this granola made a great yogurt topping.
FitAID: Yay! The first time I ever heard of FitAID was at my first CrossFit competition, when my coach asked me if I had ever tried it, and I was afraid of it. Now I can try it in a controlled environment, and I don’t have to be.
Chinook Seedery Sunflower Seeds: Admittedly, these are the only items left over from April. Sunflower seeds are a ton of work. If you’re a fan of sunflower seeds, these come in a bunch of different flavors, are non-GMO verified, and have larger seeds than the average brand.
Overall, another excellent box from Fit Snack. Expect the May box review very shortly!
