I’ve used glycolic acid products before to try to reduce my sun damage and dark spots. I was excited to write a NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash review. NeoStrata sent me a full-size bottle to try in exchange for this honest review.
The NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash is a potent, pH-balanced product. It foams and deep cleans, and it’s definitely for experienced glycolic acid users since it’s 18% glycolic acid. The lactobionic acid is supposed to enhance cell renewal.
I did appreciate that the NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash was unscented. I prefer products that don’t overpower my skin with perfume. Also, it dispensed easily from the bottle, foamed nicely, and rinsed off very well.
Unfortunately, it was too much for my skin. After three days of using it just once a day, my skin tingled, and not pleasantly. I had to put NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash aside, as I didn’t want to risk a reaction. Apparently, the lactobionic acid didn’t minimize irritation. For reference, I do not have sensitive skin. My skin does not react well to benzoyl peroxide, but other than that, I usually don’t have bad reactions to products. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this product because it did upset my skin.
I received a full-size bottle of NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own, and I have not received any other compensation for this NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash review.
