June Barbella Box Review: Travel Essentials

I’m back to Barbella Box! I missed getting them, so I signed up for the June Barbella Box (mainly because I thought the Fleos were coming in June. They did not – that’s July, so sign up!) The June Barbella Box was travel-themed; the card that came with the box explained why these items were included.

(Disclosure: I paid for this box myself, and I received no compensation for this review. All opinions are my own. This post may contain affiliate links.)

The Badass Life: 30 Amazing Days to a Lifetime of Great Habits-Body, Mind, and Spirit by Christmas Abbott: Barbella Box included this book “for a plane ride, when relaxing on the beach, or while cozying up.” It’s a hardcover, so I wouldn’t bring it on the plane unless I tucked it in my rollaboard. (I do, however, bring hardcovers on road trips. On my most recent, I brought The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F—. I highly recommend it.) However, I am looking forward to readingĀ The Badass Life; it’s supposed to include tasks to challenge your mind, body, and spirit. I’ll report back when I’m a badass.

Exosleeve Sweat Essentials Bag: This is a pretty good-sized toiletry bag! It’s water- and sweat-resistant, can hold makeup and an assortment of products, and has a cool quote on it (“Make Magic Happen”). The June Barbella Box card suggests using it as a clutch, too, but I don’t see that happening.

Livesore Cheekies: Here’s the first item I wasn’t thrilled about. The cheekies are cute, but the sizing felt off. (Side note: Barbella Box has excellent customer service. I emailed asking for a size exchange, and they immediately shipped out a new pair.) I don’t really wear cheekies, and I can’t wear them lounging around the house because of the kids. That said, they’re still cute.

Bourn Relentless Sleep&Recovery: Apparently this is a full-size bottle (10 capsules). I hope not. No kidding, I got the best night of sleep in a long time after taking one of these all-natural sleep and recovery aids.

Bourn Relentless Pre-Workout, Natural Strawberry: The June Barbella Box included two of these packets to sample. I love the flavor; it’s gentle and not overwhelming. Also, I didn’t feel jittery at all. Bourn Relentless Pre-Workout is a winner.

LifeAid Beverage Co. TravelAid: Barbella Box included this to boost immunity, always necessary when traveling by plane. Those are just big germ incubators, says Germophobe Me. I’m saving this for right before my next plane trip (next week! BlogFest!), right before I go through security. TravelAid includes not only Vitamins A, C, and D but also packs a zinc,m echinacea, astragalus, and valerian root punch. Oh, and the chamomile and lemon balm is supposed to relax you, while the ginger root helps reduce airsickness.

Bourn Relentless Hand Towel: During the summer, I go through gym towels like nothing else exists. I’m always happy to have another.

Overall, the June Barbella Box was pretty solid. I’m definitely excited about July and the Fleos! How about you?
