I re-upped my Gainzbox subscription for July because it the company advertised a CrossFit Games-themed version of the box. I was also really excited
- 5.11 Tactical Tee: Let’s start right off the bat with the “big” item, the 5.11 Tactical Tee. It’s a short sleeved, fitted t-shirt with the 5.11 logo on the front. What’s kind of cool is that the logo is made up of the Gainzbox logo, so you can tell it was specially made. I actually wear this as a casual wear tee shirt.
- PaleoEthics AquaOmega Omega-3 Fish Oil: The July Gainzbox was supposed to come with the fish oil in capsule form. However, I received an email before the box shipped stating that the box would include the fish oil in liquid form instead. It’s tropical flavored, or so says the bottle, with no fishy aftertaste. I tried it, and it tastes kind of coconutty. There really is no fishy aftertaste. I’m not sold on the idea of drinking my fish oil; I felt ridiculous using one of the kids’ medicine spoons. But it’s not a bad taste, and it seems to go down smoothly.
SportBandana: The first item in my July Gainzbox review that I’m panning. I don’t wear bandannas, so this is useless to me. Thanks anyway, though.
- Zevia Energy: Yes, I liked this! The Zevia Energy drink has a nice, clean taste, and it gave me a good pick-me-up in the afternoon. I recommend it.
- Assault Air Bike scratcher ticket: I did not win an Assault Air Bike. Since I wasn’t going to the CrossFit Games, I didn’t get to stop by the Assault Fitness booth for an extra chance to win. I’m not sure if I’m relieved or sad that I’m not the proud owner of a new Satan’s Tricycle.
Overall, this was an okay Gainzbox. I liked the tee shirt and fish oil, but I felt like there weren’t really any big value items to justify it.
Did you get the July Gainzbox? What did you think?
